Seminar: Control of Soft Robots
This seminar gives an introduction to the soft robots at the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Wessling, and deals with the recent development of a new control approach for highly compliant flexible joint robots. This approach aims at preserving the intrinsic elastic structure and minimizing the shaping of the system dynamics. Experimental demonstrations of the performance of this new approach will be given. In addition, plenty of videos that show interesting applications of the DLR Hand Arm System will be presented.
