Biografia: 

I obtained my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Patras in 2003 and my BEng in Computer Systems from the University of Kent in 1997.I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer, Control, and Management Engineering (Dipartimento di Ingegneria Informatica, Automatica, e Gestionale) at Sapienza University of Rome since November 2014.I have participated as senior researcher and team leader in Research & Development projects co-funded by the EU in the areas of Internet of Things, Distributed Systems and the Future Internet. I have collaborated with a broad range of people across Europe at different levels, such as research, project management and administration.I have co-authored over 110 scientific publications in research areas related to distributed and mobile computing, Internet of Things, algorithm engineeringand software systems.I am the Secretary of the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science (EATCS), an international organization founded in 1972. Its aim is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and results among theoretical computer scientists as well as to stimulate cooperation between the theoretical and the practical community in computer science.
