Web Dragons: Inside the Myths of Search Engines
Marco Gori, Università di Siena
DI - Department of Computer Science
Seminar Room, third floor
Abstract:
In this
talk, I discuss critical issues related to the current search engine
technologies and foresee possible evolutions. I claim that the
centralized architecture of search engines leads naturally to web spam
and privacy problems - especially in the recent solutions based on my
own web. In particular, I point point techniques for web spam and try
to make a picture of the current war of search engines against the SEO
(Search Engine Optimizers) companies.
