Marilena VendittelliI received the "Laurea" degree in Electrical Engineering in 1992 and the Ph.D. in Systems Engineering in 1997, both from the University of Rome "La Sapienza". From April 1995 to January 1996 I was a visiting scholar at LAAS-CNRS in Toulouse (France), where I held a post-doc position from April 1997 to October 1998 funded by the EC through a TMR grant. I am currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer and Systems Science (DIS) of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and I am a member of the Robotics Laboratory.

My research interests are in the area of robot motion planning and control, with particular emphasis on nonholonomic and redundant systems, navigation and perception for mobile robots, multi-robot exploration.
