Greetings! I'm Marco Temperini, an associate professor of computer science at the Department of Computer and System Sciences, Sapienza University of Rome.
I've got a Ph.D. in Computer Science, at University "La Sapienza", in 1992.
My research interests are presently in
- theory and technology of Web-based distance learning;
- adaptive e-learning,
- social and collaborative learning,
- Web2.0-based participatory planning
I have been working or work on
- intelligent systems for the support to adaptive and personalized e-learning: configuration of personalized courses, management of learning styles, integration with the standards;
- support to collaborative and "social-collaborative" activities, specially in e-learning
- support to participation planning in e-governement, through web2.0 technologies.
while old and dear topics were
- the definition of a specialization inheritance mechanism for object-oriented programming languages and
the use of inheritance in distributed object-oriented programming,
- the use of objecy-oriented programming paradigm to support systems for Symbolic Computation,
- the axiomatization of map calculus.
